A Louie

In May, I headed up to NYC for the National Stationery Show. More on the trip to come, but an exciting part of the show for me was that I won a Louie Award! The design that won is The Perfect Match sold right here on Minted. I received a handy little statue and everything, which you can see a picture of me holding over on the Minted blog.

I Spy b.wise papers for Minted

It's always exciting to unexpectedly see my work out there in this big ole world. On Tuesday, I was sitting at our kitchen island with M, eating our morning oatmeal [she insists that we eat out of the same bowl; I drew the line with the same spoon] and flipping through the latest issue of The Oprah Magazine that had just arrived the day before. And guess what to my wondering eyes did appear? The Minted ad featuring my design Merry Ribbon and Jody Wody's Modern Headline!



I looked at M and said "No Way!!" She just stared at me smiling, like "I have no idea what's going on, but you look happy, so I'm happy, too. Yay!" I'm thrilled.



And then on Wednesday, I saw this neat video featuring Minted on The Daily Grommet. Guess which design Jules Pieri chose for her personal card?




NOEL!! I tell you, it's always an honor to find out that someone has chosen my work out of all the many beautiful designs out there. And don't you just love that little grommet logo? I do.

b.wise papers on Growing Home

I had the privilege of working with Elisabeth at Growing Home on their family's Christmas cards this year!



It was so fun working with her and the beautiful pictures of her family taken by Lesley Kerr. Hop on over and check out the post she wrote about the process! And stay for a bit -- Elisabeth writes beautifully and speaks honestly about struggles of the heart, being a mom and juggling all that goes with that and more. She's also got some seriously impressive sewing skills and a knack for capturing everyday moments in photograph. Thanks, Elisabeth!

The Trendys

It was a happy mail day a couple weeks ago when I found out my design The Perfect Match was a top ten finalist for The Trendys awards!



The news is happy, yes, but the thing I liked most about the package was that it was sent all the way from Hong Kong. How great are those stamps?

More Good Cheer

Oh my goodness. It's all I can think to say. Minted announced the Sending Good Cheer Special Award winners last Friday, and Classic Merry won Customer Favorite:

There are so many gorgeous designs from so many talented designers in Minted's 2011 Holiday Collection that I feel completely honored. It's exciting to see all of them hit the cyber shelves!

THE RESULTS ARE IN!

Minted just announced [and launched] their new 2011 holiday designs yesterday, and I could not have been more thrilled to see two of my designs place in the top ten [5th: Classic Merry and 7th: A New Stocking]. With such a stellar group of designers, it was truly an honor.

Friday in the Studio

This Friday in the studio, I've been putting the finishing touches on some new wedding and baby designs, which I am so so so excited about. I can't wait to release them!

I also got an email from Natasha at Minted this morning telling me that my interview was up on the Minted blog! Be sure to check it out if you're curious to know more about me and what I do.

She also mentioned that my design The Perfect Match was featured by Matchbook Magazine!



The tagline for the magazine is "A Field Guide to a Charmed Life." Bring it on! I'm so glad they liked my work, and I'm also so glad to have discovered this gem of an online magazine. It's chock full of interviews, destinations, fashion and beauty recs, interiors, recipes and more.





[How much do I want to transport that sofa into my house? A lot.]

What else? I just finished up some birthday labels for one of my favorite one-yr-olds. Elephants are the best.
