[Suffragist Pageant, Washington, DC - 1913]
Today, I'm off to the polls, and while I'm there I'm going to tip my hat to the women who came before me and fought for the right that I have today. It's hard to believe that my great-grandmother didn't always have the right to vote. What an amazing thing it is to live in a country where we have the freedom to cast a vote for whomever we want. So, if you haven't already, rock the vote!
And if you are looking for a way to make use of those political campaign signs after today, why not make a bird house?! I thought
this project by Les Fourmis [
via re-nest] was great...
