Kili Climb Count Down!

It's the final month before the Kili Climb! Above are the Tanzanian students who will be participating in the climb this August. A brief overview of the climb...a group of 14 Americans + Tanzanian orphans [led by an amazing Peace Corps Volunteer named Tait] will make the climb up Mt. Kilimanjaro, elevation 19,340 feet. Why? Currently a third-year Peace Corps HIV/AIDS outreach volunteer in Tanzania, Tait is working at an orphan center called Tumaini (meaning "Hope" in Swahili). This center specializes in vocational training for over 60 orphaned and vulnerable children in order to make them self-reliant. Even though the school is in sight of the majestic Mt. Meru and Kilimanjaro, most of her students have never climbed them. The climb is an exercise in empowerment and leadership, an effort to give these kids [all of whom have lost one or both parents due to the AIDS virus] an opportunity to experience the splendor of their own country. We are selling a print over at b.wise papers to support the cause!
Each print is printed on fine art paper with archival inks that resist fading for 200+ years. The prints are 8 x 10", matted 11 x 14". Every cent of the purchase price will go to the cause. And any money raised above the amount needed for the climb will go to the Tumaini Center of Global Alliance for Africa. Click here to find out more about this incredible endeavor.
