Treats + a Table

We made it back from our trip safe + sound after an 8 hour car trip [that should've taken 6 at the most!] in the rain. The boys did great, though, [thankfully] and only started going nuts about 30 minutes out. Here are some random tidbits from our trip...



The boys made "cone-ucopias" as we like to call them with Aunt Weez [my sister]. It was a dreary day and this was a fun activity for them. She just dipped ice cream cones in icing and stuck little candies on them.

After Auburn was painfully smooshed by Alabama Saturday in the Iron Bowl, I noticed that my husband had quietly disappeared. I searched the whole house and finally found this:


which led to this:

He said he "just needed to sand." Not a happy day for Auburn fans. As a side note, that's the dining room table he's been working on for us. He's making it out of walnut from a tree that had fallen down in a friend's yard. I can't wait for it to be finished!
